Custody

Colorado Child Custody Lawyer

Custody of a child can be either physical or legal.  Physical custody has to do with whom the child resides - It is called "parenting time" in Colorado.  Legal custody has to do with who can make decisions concerning the child - It is called "decision making" in Colorado, and it can be sole (one parent), joint (both parents), or split (either as to children or to types of decisions).  Decision making involves the authority to make major decisions for the child(ren) such as health, education and general welfare.
